ViSit Anywhere 16.1.4 Release Notes

Add Retry to VAW Raster File Upload

When elements are changed in ViSit Anywhere the VAW snap-in rebuilds any tile that has been affected and loads them to the ViSit Anywhere Maps data store.  Due to a number of unpredictable problems, this upload may fail.  Here we have added a feature to re-queue the request to upload a raster tile in the event of failure.

My Tools Improvements

The My Tools (Action Panel) panel has been improved in this release.  Now we have the capabilities to show the tool panel in a compressed mode, allowing users to have at least twice as many buttons visible in a single group.  We have also added a tooltip capability to the panel in order to facilitate shorter action captions.  Finally we have updated the dialog that allows users to modify an action (caption, tooltip and images) so that it is easier to use.

Elec Colorization

Fixed a problem with the initialization of the Elec colorization settings when changing the active composition.

FM Extension

The Group Placement tool report a better error message when a destination site is not found.

Casing in Symbol Names

Searching for a symbol in a Library is now case-insensitive. Before that, a user could obtain strange results when the name of the symbol in a context was not exactly matching the name in the Library.

Web Gazetteer

It is now possible to specify application data targeted towards gazetters in the application data of a web role. We can for instance supply a Commune name for the parcel gazetteer, to initialize the search string and filter the results.

Schema Report Improved

The schema report snap-in was updated to include descriptions of parent and child relations for each table.  We have also added the mnemonics to a number of items in to report.  We have also added the internal name of the symbol in the symbol contexts sections. In addition we have updated the report style to be more coherent with ViSit Anywhere 2016.
